Styles of Swimming Pools We Install in South Florida

We perform many styles of new pool construction here in the Palm Beach and Broward County areas. Namely, we specialize in the following:

  • Infinity / Vanishing Edge Pools: as the name implies, these trendy pools typically feature one edge that appears to vanish over the horizon
  • Traditional Pools: typically lighter poolscapes with rounded edges and traditional architecture. These bring stature and eloquence to your home
  • Modern Pools: These contemporary designs often feature stronger angles and sharper edges. Many choose to add walkways across the pool or a sunken area in the middle. Modern swimming pools add a sleek, sharp character to your home
  • Free Form and Geometric: steer away from the regular pool shapes and install a fully custom shape that best accentuates the features of your property
  • Lap Pools: Swimming is arguably the most therapeutic form of workout. The sport is great for building lean muscle without impacting joints. We can also install a water propulsion system, allowing you to swim at a steady pace for hundreds of meters at a time
  • Spas: whether standalone or alongside a regular pool, hot tubs and spas provide relaxation like no other

Types of Swimming Pool Construction We Handle

We find that most clients prefer the look of a concrete inground pool, but our installers are experienced with all three major swimming pool types:

  • Gunite (concrete) is the most popular choice by far for inground swimming pool construction here in South Florida. Concrete pools allow for limitless customization for your specific patio
  • Vinyl is less popular but a good alternative. Our team of installers will help you select the appropriate thickness of vinyl for your needs
  • Fiberglass: these prefabricated pool shells have come a long way in the last two decades and now feature a much greater variety of shapes and sizes

End-to-End Swimming Pool Construction

The pool is just the beginning of your backyard masterpiece. Our professional swimming pool installers will design the perfect combination of pool, tile, coping, and deck to achieve your dream look. We’ll also take the time to explore options like LED accent lighting, programmable energy-saving motor controls, fountains, spas, and other features that take your pool’s aesthetic and management to the next level.

Your Choice: Freshwater or Saltwater Pool Installation

Approximately 75% of new in-ground pools are saltwater systems, where a salt cell converts saline into chlorine and replaces the need to adjust chlorine levels using chlorine tablets. That’s up from just 15% back in 2002, according to Pool & Spa News. While we encourage our clients to consider the saltwater option, we are equally happy to install a freshwater pool system.

5 Trends We’re Seeing in Palm Beach

At Palm Beach Pool Pros, we’re fortunate to have our ears to the ground with the latest trends in local pool design. This ensures you’ll have a pool that you’re proud of for decades to come. Here are some trends we’re seeing in South Florida swimming pools:

  1. Automation: modern pool systems feature pool pumps, LEDs, heaters, and other electrical components that are fully automated to reduce maintenance headaches and reduce your pool’s energy consumption. Many also support remote programming, so you can easily monitor and control your pool’s condition using a simple app on your smartphone
  2. Vanishing Edge: whether your backyard looks out onto an ocean, river, lake, or lush tropical foliage, clients across South Florida are using a vanishing edge to give guests a mirage of infinite horizon
  3. Oversized Lounging Areas: People are finally coming to terms with reality—guests hardly ever “swim” in swimming pools! Our clients are choosing to increase the areas reserved for lounging, whether along the pool deck or on an underwater ledge
  4. Water in Motion: whether LED-infused laminar jets or a series of drops, a fountain, or a waterfall, designers are using creative ways to create dynamic flow into an otherwise static poolscape
  5. Swim Up Bars: forget those signs forbidding eating and drinking before swimming! Private pool owners are bringing the feel of a five-star resort to their homes by adding a swim-up wet bar. Cheers!
